 Rankings 2012

 Hedge Funds Review will be conducting its
 second service provider rankings in 2012. The
 2011 rankings were a resounding success with
 over 1,400 respondents to the survey.

A special report on the 2011 rankings gives details of the results, naming the top five service providers for each category. The report also contains features on each of the service providers coming top of the rankings as well as details of the final composition of the voting.The rankings cover a wide range of service providers (listed below) essential to the industry including prime brokers, fund administration and custodians as well as technology providers and accounting and legal professionals. Individuals taking part can name their most favoured service provider over a range of categories, including third-party marketers, consultants, platforms and others.

More details concerning the 2012 service provider rankings will be available later this year.

IMPORTANT

When aggregating the results, we look to strip out what we consider to be invalid votes. These include people:

• Voting for their own company, multiple votes from the same person or IP address;
• Votes from people using non-business accounts, votes by people who choose the same company indiscriminately throughout the poll;
• Votes by people who clearly are not related to the industry;
• Block votes from groups of people in the same organisation voting for the same company. For instance, we do not allow block votes from 20 people from the same company in the same location, all voting in exactly the same way within hours and in some cases minutes of each other. We see this as a clear attempt to unfairly manipulate the poll.
