The latest edition of the Naked Short Club featured discussion on whether hedge fund managers were really fleeing from London as well as short-selling restrictions and other regulatory developments.
Guests on the hour-long radio programme also discussed securities lending, prime brokerage and the retreat of the proprietary trading desks as well as the ability of hedge funds to fit into Ucits III constraints.
Hosted by Dr Stu, guests joining in the lively debate included Dan Shapiro from Schulte Roth & Zabel/Lincoln Vale, Robert Sloan from s3 Partners and author of Don’t Blame the Shorts, Roy Zimmerhansl from Zimmerhansl Consulting/FinTuition, Robert Mirsky from Laven Partners, Sam Jones, hedge fund correspondent at the Financial Times, and Tim Price from PFP Wealth Management as well as poetry from Joyce Goldstein.
Music featured on the show included the Orb, Jefferson Airplane, Gong, Neu and Hawkwind.
The next live edition of the Naked Short Club will be broadcast on November 8, 2010.
