Political and regulatory developments as well as sources of systemic risk were among the topics discussed on the March 22 edition of the N@ked Short Club.

Crowd behaviour, how markets really work and a head-hunter’s view of the industry were other topics discussed by guests in the studio.

In addition lively debate around an end-investor’s view on funds of funds as well as lively discussion about Ucits III hedge funds, managed accounts and industry polarisation filled the hour-long programme.

The top 50 US hedge funds were highlighted as well as insights into where money is to be made in the industry.

Host Dr Stu led discussions with guests: money managers Richard Edwards, CEO of HED Capital and Louis Gargour, CEO of LNG Capital; Greg Taylor, head of product development, fund of funds at FRM; Ian Prideaux, investment director with family office Grosvenor Estates and Bill McIntosh, editor of Hedge Fund Journal. From the US, head-hunter Steve Diamond, founder of the Diamond Group, joined the studio guests.

Sarah Dudney read the latest instalment of “The Seven Deadly Sins”.

Music on the programme included the Orb, Gong, the Velvet Undergorund, Led Zeppelin, Diamanda Galas and Hawkwind.
