The deadline for entries for this year’s Hedge Funds Review Tenth European Performance Awards has been extended to March 17.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the publication of Hedge Funds Review, the awards will reflect 10 years of hedge fund industry achievements and success. A new category has been introduced: Hedge Fund of the Decade, open to any fund with 10 years or more of operations.

The awards, recognising single manager hedge funds, are the most thorough and sought-after accolades in the industry.

The hedge fund investment process relies on more than just numbers and the awards judging process recognises this. To reflect the varied nature of the industry, this year’s  judging panel is comprised of Luke Dixon, portfolio manager, absolute return strategies, Universities Superannuation Scheme; Phil Irvine, director of PiRho Investment Consulting; Reiko Nahum, CEO of Amber Partners; Tushar Patel, managing director of Hedge Funds Investment Management and Margie Lindsay, editor if Hedge Funds Review.

In the tenth anniversary performance awards categories, funds with a track record of over 10 years in long/short equity, global macro, event driven and relative value strategies will be highlighted.

In the qualitative awards category, Hedge Funds Review is continuing its campaign to raise awareness and the standard of investor communications by recognising the contribution this activity makes to the hedge funds industry.

The European Performance Awards is the most prestigious event held exclusively for the European hedge fund industry and continues to attract the top names from the business.

Winners will be announced on May 20 at a gala dinner in London.

Profiles of each of the winners as well as those on the shortlist will be published simultaneously on  the Hedge Funds Review website.
