HSBC’s nascent exchange-traded fund (ETF) range has been launched on independent wrap platform Ascentric.
HSBC entered the ETF market in August 2009 with the HSBC FTSE 100 ETF, followed in October by the HSBC Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 ETF.
The bank plans to increase its ETF range over the next two years to cover developing and emerging market indexes and the main asset classes.
Robert Samuels, wealth management sales spokesperson for HSBC Global Markets, said making the range available on a wrap platform would make the funds easily available to intermediaries.
"Intermediaries are increasingly recognising that ETFs are an important part of the investment tool kit," he added.
HSBC's Onshore Investment Bond was launched on the Ascentric platform in October.
