Liquidnet set a monthly record for principal traded in European securities with just over £5.1 billion traded in August. The company also reached a record in average daily principal traded, at just under £257.5 million.
This is the first month since Liquidnet was launched in Europe that total principal traded has topped £5 billion.
Liquidnet is facilitates institutional equities trading for institutional investors worldwide. It consolidates and delivers the institutional equities market directly to the desktops of 583 buy-side trading companies (at June 30, 2009).
