The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and Taiwan Securities Association (TSA) have signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote mutual exchange of knowledge between the two organisations and their members.
The two associations will co-operate through consultation in regulation and self regulation, market infrastructure and professional training and accreditation, with particular emphasis on the regulatory response in their regions to the financial crisis.
TSA hopes to extend collaboration and stable international partnerships in global securities industry by signing MoUs with financial organisations and trade associations.
ICMA is the self-regulatory organisation and trade association representing constituents and practitioners in the international capital market worldwide.
TSA is primarily involved in helping securities industry improve its competitiveness through dialogue between industry and regulators and research on business and financial products.
