Sandra Manzke has left Tremont Capital

Manzke was a founder of Tremont in 1984 and until recently co-chief executive officer. Bob Schulman and Barry Colvin now head Tremont’s team. The two were unavailable to comment but it is thought that Manzke left the company two weeks ago.Tremont advises on $13bn in assets and in 2001 was taken over for $145 million by Oppenheimer, the fund manager within MassMutual Group. In 1999, Tremont acquired Tass, the hedge fund data bas company, and recently sold it to Lipper – of the Reuter’s group.Schulman joined Tremont in 1994. He was joint chief executive officer with Manzke and is now the sole chief executive officer. Schulman is involved in managing the firm’s joint ventures, insurance and Canadian activities as well as overall strategic planning. Colvin joined Tremont in 1999 and is now the president of the company responsible for leading the firm’s long-term strategy. He was chief operating officer from late 2000 until February 2002.
