Emerging market ETF to list on NYSE Arca

Invesco PowerShares Capital Management, a provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) is to list an emerging markets infrastructure portfolio on the New York Stock Exchange Arca in October.

The PowerShares Emerging Markets Infrastructure Portfolio (PXR) is expected to provide investors with a way to capture a global group of companies responsible for construction and development of emerging market infrastructure.

The PXR is an ETF based on the S-Network Emerging Infrastructure Builders IndexSM. The index is designed to measure the overall performance of securities of companies involved in infrastructure construction and development in emerging market countries.

Industries include, but are not limited to, construction and engineering, construction machinery, construction materials, diversified metals and mining, heavy electrical equipment, industrial machinery and steel.

Invesco PowerShares offers a family of over 100 domestic and international index-based and actively managed ETFs and has assets under management of approximately $13.95 billion (at June 30, 2008). PowerShares ETFs trade on all of the major US stock exchanges that trade ETFs. Invesco PowerShares is a part of Invesco., an independent global investment management company.
