Citisoft, specialist investment management consulting company and subsidiary of Satyam Computer Services, has Ian Mainwaring to the company’s alternative investments practice, focused on helping asset managers solve operational issues around derivatives and alternative investment products and services to hedge funds. Prior to joining Citisoft, Mainwaring was head of technology for electronic trading and hedge accounting at Rabobank International.

Mourant International Finance Administration has appointed Richard Harland as business development manager at its London office. Previously he was at Mourant’s Guernsey office. Harland joined Mourant in 2006 and since then has worked in accounting, administration and client relationship. Prior to that hespent three years working for PricewaterhouseCoopers auditing private equity, real estate and captive insurance funds.

Managed Funds Association (MFA), the US hedge fund industry trade association, has named Roger Hollingsworth as executive vice-president and managing director, government relations. Hollingsworth joins from the US States Senate Banking Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, where he served as deputy staff director and senior policy advisor to committee chairman Christopher Dodd. Omgeo, which provides automated post trade confirmation, has appointed Scott Hillyer as managing director, client operations. Hillyer is a member of Omgeo’s executive team and is involved in developing and executing upon the company’s core strategies.

Office move
State Street, the provider of financial services to institutional investors, has opened an office in Doha, Qatar. The office will provide investment servicing solutions as well as investment research via State Street Associates, the company’s research partnership with academia. Rod Ringrow, senior vice-president of State Street, will be the managing director of the office from October. The company provides a range of investment services and asset management solutions to central, commercial and Middle Eastern banks; government institutions and investment companies.
